Just got one, up and running with my XP1700+......it's pretty sweet, just a note, i had to use the updated drivers (4in1) to even get it to work, using the ones off the CD make explorer hang....got onboard LAN working......i'm going to do the sound next, do i need the updated drivers for that too?

also, sometimes it locks up in the bios, is there a reason for this? thanks

i would download the newest sound drivers


as for locking up in bios... if it is totally stable when windows is running then the problem is probably something that will be fixed with a newer bios update

You had better make sure you have all the latest drivers and probably the latest BIOS too if you plan on putting more parts in there.
I was having the Same bios probs before I upped it to (what is now) the previous version. Which PCI slots you have filled is very likely to be a big factor on the Dragon board. It was and still is for me.

Okay, i used the latest audio drivers, works fine for everything except WMP it can't see my audio hardware...very weird.....i'm not using any PCI cards, only card i have in there is my Rage card, and that's AGP

That is very odd. I haven't even tried to use the onboard sound so I am no help there. I did notice that you run 98se. What version of WMP are you using?
