Anyway, I disabled email from admins in my profile. Should fix the problem. :\

Getting the spam too. Didn't start getting spam until I added my email address to my profile. AT mods gave me an infraction for having a FS thread in the FS/FT forum w/o having my email address in my profile.

It's not like Anandtech to add an affiliate link within the main structure of the board, where they already have their banner ads in place. It's likely a malicious code may have been injected into the board's wrappers to get the link in, or through other means. It's worth investigating if the web team claim they didn't put the link in.

it is being done through the ForumsAdmin account
Perknose is investigating to see if the person using the ForumsAdmin account is legit and they just forgot to tell the moderators about this (unlikely) or the ForumsAdmin account has been hijacked
