Personally I think libraries should strive to make people smarter not dumber, but if someone wanted to expose their children to R-rated screeds at a 3 grader reading level i say go ahead

“We knew it would be controversial, but we talked about it a lot,” Elberson said. “We are not planning on surprising anybody. That’s why we labeled it, so people would know. They have a choice. It’s one program out of 80 we are doing that month.”

It's one of 80 programs. If it flops, it flops. Free market and all that. Muh concerns.

OP story is a disgrace.

The person reading is clearly using a book intended for kids younger than those she's reading to. Should try something like this:

Maybe you should take the time to, you know, read the article. It's a library not a school and it's one program out of 80 that they offer. The only families taking part will be those that choose to.

The right doesn't want parents to have choices they don't approve off. They just want kids to recite the pledge, wave the flag, and grow up to be compliant cannon fodder.

Just checking to see if the OP has volunteered their time at the local library to read to kids?

As usual, the OP is desperately concerned about free speech.. as long as he agrees with it.

His briefing books are basically story time already except for things that impact the lives of millions...

Close, they are more like coloring book place mats restaurants use to entertain kids.

Laughter, I'd imagine. Cannot think Trump could read two pages of a 1st grade reading primer without help, but hell, let him have at it.
