drag links to open new tab, url alias, single window mode in firefox?

ive been experimenting with firefox and love it except for a couple of features:
-being able to just drag the link (rather than clicking) to open in a new tab
-being able to name alias for url's
-single window mode

ive tried checking extensions but havent come across anything that offers the same functionality. does anyone know of any extensions that can add these features?
thanks

That will allow you to drag links to open them in a new tab. It also lets you select a non-hyperlink URL and open it by dragging, as well as select plain text and drag to Google search it.

Don't know what to tell you about the other two. What do you mean by "single window mode"?

not really a fan of opera since its not freeware.
as for single window mode-all pages open up as tabs and not as new windows.

It is freeware. They have a link on their site to download it. No features are removed, full-fledged free browser.

I'll have to look for the ability to open all new windows as tabs myself as some kind of extension. That's something I'd like myself, I'll let you know if I find something.

quickly browsing the mozilla forums ive found that for the alias, you can right click and get the bookmark properties of the page, and then type in a keyword. the keyword acts as the alias.
as for opera being freeware, thats news to me. but i think i'll stick w/ firefox for now

Always has been as long as I've been using it...

couldn't you just drag the link and drop it to the new-tab area and it will automatically open the link in new tab?
at least it works that way in moz...
if you're drag/dropping text url, just highlight the text then drag/drop it to the new tab button...

single window mode will need extension, i believe.

not sure about alias for url ...

thanks guys for all the help

stndn,
you could drag it...but it takes a bit longer to do. the super grag and drop extension mentioned works really well

i've found that single window mode is available as an extension. i think i had too many extensions installed and they overlapped in function and it got a lil screwy. i think the "tabbrowser extension" has the best/most features that i need.
