Assuming I don't hear back from them, when should I get in contact with them for a friendly reminder of my resume? Friday? Monday? A week from now?

Should I call or email. Email I'm thinking may be ineffective since I'll be sending it to the same inbox where the resume was sent. A phone call may be too intrusive?

Do you just submit resumes and move on because they don't care for you or do you follow up at least?

Via their website? Monster? Career Builder? etc?

If it's via the mentioned above, don't bother - they probably get tons of resumes.

If it's through a contact or a friend of a friend, give it a day or two and follow up.

Alot of the website stuff is "don't call us well call you", sure you can call if you want, but your resume may already be in the trash. Also, it takes a LONG time for some companies, I was applying to jobs around July and I am just now getting requests for interviews with some which is kind of silly because I have already accepted a job offer, but forgot about some of the places I submitted and hadn't taken my name off the list yet.
