Then just hurry up and go there and run a freakin ad-aware scan so they will STFU and hopefully YOU will STFU as well.

This is such a retarded rant. You sound like a baby. You are IT, go fix their sh!t...that's your job. Unless you have something way more important to do (which I doubt since you are posting on ATOT), just go get it done so we don't have to listen to you b!tch about something so trivial.

Believe it or not, you can get a PhD in something without obtaining any computer skills at all. Mind you, those folks usually teach Latin or Art History... but there are a few math and science professors with no common sense when it comes to technology as well.

if a person has invested that much time on obtaining a PhD, i think he or she should spend the 5 minutes it takes to download a simple spyware scanner and press the SCAN button and find big bad red exclamation marks and press the "CLEAN" button. this is not considered a computer skill.

i don't have a engineering degree nor am i a mechanic, and i can open up my car to add windshield washer, engine oil etc.
i am not a paid chef, yet I can cook my instant noodles or a simple meal.
i am not a investment banker, but i do play stocks.
i am not a medical doctor, but i know when to take some cold medicines or cough syrup.

you dont need to be technical or need computer skills to run a spyware scan.

You're giving the average joe too much credit. You would be amazed how many people are out there who still have no idea what Spyware is.
