- Warner Bros. cancels Judge Mathis and burns down The People's Court
The two long-running court shows will end after 24 and 26 seasons on the air, respectively

- Dr. Phil to cease playing pretend TV doctor this spring
After 21 seasons of yelling at people seeking help, Dr. Phil is calling it a day

Dr. Phil also leaves behind a legacy of a toxic workplace, which a BuzzFeed investigation describes as abusive, racist, and miserable.

Where's the MAGA outrage? And when do the house investigations begin?

There's a thought... house republicans investigation every time a network drops or starts a tv show. THAT'S TOO GAY, CAN'T HAVE THAT or WHY DID CBS DROP THAT HETEROSEXUAL TV SHOW? MTG needs to investigate. Imagine house republicans having the final say on what a network can and can not air? That could be next....

Wow that's pretty major. I never cared that much for either of those shows myself, but they were quite popular as far as I know. Probably mostly older people.

I was confused, because I was absolutely certain The People's Court existed prior to 1997.
"The original series ran from 1981 to 1993, and the current revival debuted in 1997."
I hadn't been aware it went away for a few years.

Some missed feelings about Dr. Phil. Although I thought he's "help" on the show was beyond basic and used old school methods that haven't held up to investigation, it did create an awareness for mental illness and probably helped destigmatize therapy.

Either way, I thought he was a dipshit.
