dr.divx - low audio help

I made sure the original VOB file has a normal volume ... but the outputted divx .avi file is considerably lower. I went into the profile settings and there's not many options for audio... just the bitrate and the KHz. I tried playing with both and it doesn't affect the volume. (Which should it be anyway?) It's barely even audible and I need it louder for my Palm handheld (it's already on max).

Any ideas ? I believe it's using the LAME mp3 codec but there aren't any configurables for that...

EDIT>> as soon as I posted this, I went and noticed that there's supposedly a "boost" feature in v1.05... grabbing latest now - will report back... was using 1.04.

I could tell a huge difference between 1.04 (no AC3 boost) and 1.05 (AC3 boost enabled), as I was I having the same problems. The volume level was fine when converting TV rips to Divx, but DVD to Divx always resulted in really low volume levels.

I bet upgrading to 1.05 and using the boost will fix your problems.
