DPS on the Giga MB

What is the reason for using the DPS "daughter card" for 6 stage power circuit.

Thats what the manual says, but whats the advantage and is it needed?

I am worried cuz it looks like it might get in the way of the HSF (7000B).

Probably because firefox has a built in google seach bar and its homepage integrates in google.
