Why is it the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea is neither Democratic nor a Republic?

Propaganda? Same reason they had elections in Iraq with Sadam but he banned anyone from running against him.

Japanese TV showing live TV of PAC 3 batteries, just sitting there, unused. They did not fire them.

Prime Minister addressed nation 10 minutes ago for about 2 minutes. PISSED OFF stern, three sentence statement then stormed away from the TV mikes and cameras.

So I understand in theory why people are talking about it but if all they are doing is placing satellites in orbit can't we just ignore it or do we have to be so paranoid that we will be forced to invade them?

I'll take, because no one believes it's actually about launching satellites for 500 alex.

If you can put a satellite in orbit, you can send that same rocket to just about anywhere on the face of the Earth. The concern is that NK is really testing this rocket for use as a long-range missile, and not a space delivery system.

If you can launch a satellite-sized payload to orbit, you can drop that satellite-sized payload anywhere.

Because if they can put a satellite in orbit, and they have nuclear weapons, they can put those two things together and do very bad things.

We're not going to invade North Korea.

They now have a ballistic missile. They also have nuclear warheads. You need a missile to launch a warhead. Nuclear bombs you don't just light the fuse, it need a pre-explosion/impact in the form of a missile.

Can you put two and two together? I suppose you really believe Iran is really just trying to make a power plant too?

The US state department is calling it 'provocative' , Japan calling it 'regrettable' , whatever that means.
At least Obama and all the other leaders are at the G20 summit together right now, so maybe they can all come to some consensus.
