Here's something I've always wondered. How do reviewers get images of the in-camera menu system for reviews?

don't most have cameras have AV out, and instead of outputting to a TV, maybe they output to a computer with an AV input and therefore are able to take a screenshot on the computer

I don't think AV out includes the menu, it's just a way to preview pictures on something larger than the LCD.

Viper GTS

my Sony cameras output the menus through AV, and it's useful for the slideshows which display no menu text

If you can afford it, and it's down your alley, then by all means go for it :D

Sweet, sweet camera. But I know I don't take pictures so awesome that they would justify such a camera even if I had money for it...
Perhaps some day, when I start selling $500 a pop artwork... :)

ya hopefully it'll knock the price of the 1Ds MKII and 1D MKII down a bit :)

I love the size, if you need a bigger camera and want 8mp...spend the extra $$ to get the 20d.

Nice attempt using CMOS sensors for the first time. Once Nikon figure out secrects of ISO settings on their own CMOS sensors, I'm sure it will be a lot better. In other word, ISO 800(normal) is way too low for this level of Dslr. And, 1.5~2.0x FOV crop is NOT right.

actually its great, with teh camera they showed that full frame isnt really needed seeing as teh APS sized sensor in the D2X deleiver pics that are of the same quality as the 16mp FF Canon 1D2MK2, it also as phill says only uses teh center portion of the lens, shich is much sharper and contrastyer, so you get virtually no edge falloff,

the people that i know who have one say the 2x crop mode is a godsend for shooting sports and wildlife, no longer do they need to carry around a 30lb 60mm f/4 prime, they can taka a smaller lighter lens or 2 of them and get the same exact quality and such

the ISO range is fine IMO seeing as 99.9% of the time im shooting at ISOs below 400, even when shooting film ive never shot above 800, and seeing as the digital cameras produce better looking images at ISO 800 and 1600 then their equiv color films, i dont think anyone should complain, ISO 1600 color film looks liek crap, ISO1600 Digital pics, even the ones from my D70 look pretty good, and look great after some clean up in neat immage, something you cant do with film

i red the review and pretty much all the others and dont remember if it wa smentioned, but the noise from the D2x at the higher ISOs is much more monochromatic then the noise from all other cameras at higher ISOs, this as well is amazing because monocromatic noise looks signifigently less sh!tty and is much easier to clean up

Nikon may never produce a full frame digital camera, and i dont think that is wrong, seeing as the D2x is just that awsome, Nikon also has a good amount of money/research involved in the DX lenses which are great seeing as they are smaller and lighter then the Non DX lenses
