When looking at the DPI measures for an Epson R300 vs a Canon i960 the espon specs are 5670dpi whereas the canon is 4800 dpi. Does this mean Epson is the better quality printer, or am i not reading the info right?
Thanks.
All the Epson inkjets is 720dpi. All the Canon injets are 1200 dpi. Those are the actuall print head dpi. What both manfactures claim are the resolution interpolation plus other techniques. For Epson injets, anything over 1440 dpi print setting is wasted of ink and printing time. Same with the Canon on anything over 1200 dpi print setting. I have both brands and I used to working with Epson professional inkjet printers.
