DPCon 2005 - Charlotte, NC

DPCon, short for Digital Paint Conference, is a gathering / LAN party for Paintball2. Paintball2 is a FPS that was originally a Quake2 mod, but we've been revamping it since the Quake2 source was released, and now it's a completely free, standalone game with continuous updates. As for DPCon, don't worry if you've never played Paintball2 before. We had a handful of new players last year and they all had a great time. The LAN party is on Saturday, July 23rd. Of course it is! Granted, I'm a little biased, but most people love it once they pick it up.

It's at a place called Atlantis Gaming Center in Inidan Trial (just outside of Charlotte), NC. The real paintball will be at CJ's Paintball field.

Woah! They used to be in Matthews, NC. I had no idea they moved.

Yeah. It's not far from the old location. They merged with Duelers. If you go two lights down (toward Monroe), it's on the street between Walgreens and the 76 gas station. Drive down that road and it's just before the train tracks (you can turn right into the parking lot practically on the X painted on the street). Pretty cool place, though the hours tend to be arbitrary. I went to the last all-nighter they had there and it was a lot of fun -- looking forward to the next one (in 2 weeks, I think).

Yeah man, I noticed they moved not too long ago. I don't drive past there much on a daily, or even weekly basis though.

I am the guy on the left, who looks sort of funny. That was over a year ago though, back when they just opened (sort of). I remember it because it had just snowed quite a bit.

Edit: And hell..I used to get my tank filled at CJs.

Surely you can't mean Dave. The skatepark owner, maybe, before they moved again. Dave's a cool guy, though, and if you got that impression, he was probably being sarcastic or something.
