Hi, I've got dpad running, and liking it(I think it's here to stay)
1st, how long do I have to wait until I show up in the stat's?
2nd, is 48 degrees for the processor acceptable?(33 case)
3rd, what's the best way to start it(win98)?I would like it running in the background - but shut down on shutdown with out making me go into task manager

Thanks!

yelo333,

Welcome to TeAm DPAD - and thanks for playing! :D

You will show in stats when you upload results. Your default setting (in config.txt) will be to flush when your results.txt file reaches 100Kb. You can flush manually, using "manualsend" - but only if you have AT LEAST 10Kb in your results.txt

48 degrees sounds a little cool - unless of course you're talking celsius, then it sounds pretty-much ok.

Best way to start? - I put it in startup. I never shut it down, so the shutdown hasn't ever been an issue to me.
There's a muon-specific project forum at the official site - you may find some other interesting info there. :)

To be able to shut down a command line process in Win98, find the CONAGENT.EXE file (usually in C:\Windows\System) and copy it to your DPAD folder. Then, right click the CONAGENT.EXE that is in the DPAD folder, and choose properties. On the Misc tab, uncheck the "Warn if still active" item. This should keep from getting a warning about closing the DPAD client when you shut down the machine.

Or just don't do the copy/paste bit, then anything that uses a dos prompt will not give you the "you must close this.." prompt for anything.

Thanks for pointing that out - It will be very helpful, and, it might make the difference between me not using/using my other computer(p233mmx - maybe not even worth it ?), and, when I get around to putting it back together, 600mhz celeron

Welcome aboard,

Nowadays, running a 233MMX just for DC, it's a waste of money ( bill ), unless, it's already running for something else.
In that case, NOTHING is to little to run DC ( except 8088 ) LOL :cool::cool:
