I downloaded the files sent to me up to about 6pm yesterday (Sunday), and now I've somehow got the stats-generator working so I can paste a list of your stats at that point in time here. Unfortunately I'm on the wrong machine to start the thing up permanently and have it writing to my website, but perhaps I'll be able to do that this evening.

wtf???? we had to start at like - 0.000100002% How on earth is that possible?
Notice how many DPC have best transfer rates over 4% Notice how many others don't?
Curious that not a single participant outside DPC has a rate even remotely comparable. Wonder how that happens?

My guess would be that either they have a results.dat file that helps them and you don't, or that they deleted their results.dat file and you didn't. If you did delete your results.dat, now might be a good time to dig it out of the recycle bin. If you didn't, now might be a good time to delete it.

I've been daily re-seeding from 3 machines with the best, and recycling. It's improving steadily, but not at THAT rate. Something is odd...

The results.dat from 4.2 is not compatible with 4.3, so that's not the answer.

My guess is that somebody just got lucky, and they have some private forum where they share that info around to their teammates. The results will (hopefully) become public when Mr. Brooks releases another best250.dat file.

That list was from Sunday. Stephen(an?) is still working on the new versions stats page.

FAQ would be great once v4.31 is out and then v5 soon too

No worries. What I did is create a sub-directory called V4.2 and dumped everything in there for safe-keeping.
Then, extracted the 4.3 version into my Muon directory and copied back user.txt

Since the application doesn't use a windows install, there's no issue.

Oh - and btw... for those of you who have been "pinkering" with the results.dat, I've found a potential snag that will cause the application to crash. If you don't drop down one line on the results.dat file before saving, (i.e., don't leave your cursor at the end of the last text line) - the next auto-generated line for the results will basically concatenate at the end of that last line, causing the application to crash.

This is easily corrected if and when you see it by positioning your cursor just before "tantalumrodz" and hitting "enter" - you'll still need to put that last carriage return in however, or it'll crash all over again.

create a notepad file and name it "user.txt"

in there put ur name [TA]Assimilator1

run the background or commandline version..

also u will have a results.dat file (not to be confused w/ the TEMPORARY results.txt file that then gets deleted after work is flushed) that
holds all the info of prior results....we are working on creating a very very nice *best250* results...basically the algorithm improves itself based on good results that have been generated...the higher the transfer the more it benefits the program and our scores

also stephen will continue taking v.4.21 results for a while now b/c he knows ppl might be slow to upgrade..
