Just signed up for DPaD a few hours ago and here are a few questions I have.
Where do we tell them what our email address is? How long before I show up in the stats? How long before I show up on the team? I followed instructions that were posted in earlier thread but I didnt see anywhere where you are suppose to put in your email address only username. I made a file in the muon directory called user.txt and in user.txt I put a line that says [TA]Twioz Is that all I do?

No e-mail address needed. just your user name, be sure to have [TA]NAME
Once you have completed at least 10 results, upload with the manualsend.bat it will then take an hour or so for you to be added to the team. After you have uploaded then you can let it autosend or select manualsend in the config file. There you have it

A) You don't put any email addy. Just put [TA] then followed by a name of ur choosing

B) u show up in the stats once u make a dump. u can dump when u have a 10Kb file or it will auto-dump@ 100 KB (about 1 days' work on a barton 3200)

C) yes that is all you do

any other questions. just look in the FAQ (which is being updated)

Thanks for the FAST reply! I guess I will have to "Burn in" my new laptop I got from work on friday. Its a pentium 4 2.8ghz which Means I believe it is an HT cpu. Then its time to dive into those other 4 project computers I need to piece together. Muahahahahaha the Mad computerscientist is back!

in your config.txt file make sure to set "Threads:" to "2" if it IS a HT cpu

I must have done something wrong or something... I think I unRARed everything correctly yesterday and it ran all night on my three machines but I don't see my name on any of the automated stats pages... Hmmm.

open up the rar folder and open user.txt and enter your name with [TA]SuperCommando and then save the file. If you dont have the [TA] in front of your user name it wont be credited to the team.

Also...you have to send results to appear in the stats field. You can send results once your results.txt file reaches 10KB or it automaically sends @ 100KB (about 1 day on a barton 3200+, 3/4 day on a 3.2 ghz P4)

lol Hey dude, some people actually have to work for a living!...Not everybody can do DC the entire day...

ALL my free time is dedicated to the TeAm...I get up at seven in the morning...checkout what the TeAms been up to, go to work...get back late as usual...check what the TeAms been doing...go to bed at 3am after the stats are posted...so everything will get done...Trust me! So lets have some :beer: and let the goodtimes roll!!!

Hmmm... I'm on campus with my laptop now and I just checked user.txt on this machine and it's correct. I copied the unRARed directory from my primary machine so if it's correct on this one, it's correct on that one, as well. I thought that it might have been having a problem FTPing the results to wherever it is that they go (I have to turn PASV on and off all the time depending on the server), but I changed that and as far as I know, it didn't change anything. I tried running the .bat to send the results manually but it said that it couldn't find results.txt. I guess I need to look at it and mess with it some more when I get home in a few hours.
