DPAD - new client released - v4.42b

A new lattice PhaseRotC is included that simulates starting from a new distribution of pions, which are produced using 10GeV protons instead of 2.2GeV. The pion-per-proton efficiency is higher at this energy, so the overall efficiency of this scheme could end up being higher even if the muon capture percentages are lower. A minor new feature in this release is the 'auto' option for screen resolution, which sets it to the highest supported resolution.
Update (v4.42a):
Fixed a bug whereby the graphical version entered an infinite loop at the end of the simulation when all particles had finished. Viewresults.exe has also been modified so it does not re-read the whole results file when you change mode. This version is also provided as a patch from the previous (v4.42) one, to save on download size.
Update (v4.42b):
Manual send is no longer broken.

I'll install it on my machines this weekend. 🙂

Hey JonB, just out of curiosity, what all do you have crunching DPAD? I've got about 14 GHz of AMD power under the hood, and I just match your output.

That's pretty close to my total Ghz. I have one A64 3000+, five Athlon XPs, one Duron, one non-HT P4 and eight PIIIs.
It'll be another 3 or 4 months until this PC gets upgraded with new MB and A64 X2. Of course, the current A64 will be put on a farm with the Athlon XPs. I have a spot ready for it.
btw, Amaroque, do you do video editing with that PC? You've got the HD space for it, plus the burners.

been awhile since I've been active on this project 😵 What are you guys using for daily stats tracking now?

We're unfortunately a little "stats challenged" at the moment. 🙁

Geoff's stats seem to be FUBAR. I can certainly understand, the way the project has changed over and over. It would require a lot of coding to keep up I'm sure.

FYI -

This client seems to be WAY more stable than the previous version. It also plays alot better with ZoneAlarm as well. The last one, I couldn't dump at all from my home machine, and had to sneakernet it to the one at work.

I have 1 A64 X2 (usually @ 2.6 GHz for 24/7 operation), 1 A64 @ 2.6 GHz, 3 AXP's @ 2.2 GHz (~14.4 GHz total). I also have a Winchester 3500+, K8N Neo2 just sitting here that I need to put to good use also. I just haven't decided if I want to replace an AXP board/CPU, or throw together another computer.

I do some video editing. More photo editing though. I will be doing more in the future though with this X2 monster. 😉

I'm going to install the new client on my little fleet today. If you need a stats fix, check out Anandtech's stats by Free DC (Dyyryath).

The nice thing is that you don't need to run 2 clients with an X2. One client automatically loads both cores, as seen here.

Hey Assimilator1, every bit counts. 😎

2.4G AMD, and an old, but venerable Athlon 700.

It's not much (compared to the "old days") but that gives me 4 total machines now.

Sigh...

I remember when I was #1.

But... the more spots I drop, the more others are cranking out - and that's good for the TeAm! So.... bring it on, Bubba. 😉

Updated for new client revision. Seems like a minor fix for those interested in running the graphical client or the results viewer.
