DPAD/Geoff's Stats Question...

After some neglect due the instability of the stats at the time I was doing the DPAD stats, I'm ready to update the stats to include the newest optimizations and versions. The question I have is that there seems to be a simplified stats file available now (I don't think that it was available when I started the DPAD stats, but I could be wrong...). Is there anything in the larger file that I need or you would like to see that isn't in the simplified file? If not, then I can modify the load process to look at the simplified file and get you accurate stats instead of jumping though hoops in the detailed file every time a new optimization or version comes out.

LMK!

no, the simplified was not available when you were doing the stats for dpad on your site. i dont know the difference in the 2 but here are the field headers for the .txt files:

rawstats (as displayed here ):
username, results from v4.2, v4.3, v4.4, total Mpts, best muon percentage, hours since last active

simplestats:
username, total simulations, total Mpts, hours since last active

i find that the "results from" fields are pretty worthless IMHO. also, regarding "best muon percentage", im not sure if that is higher score of the 2 simulations we are working on or if it's only taking data from 1 of the simulations

overall i think that simplestats is more useful, but if you want to be able to keep track of who is garnering the highest muon percentage then you will need to grab that from rawstats.txt

Hi Geoffs

The results from v4.2, v4.3, v4.4 is only if you want to get the separate results and also the best muon for the different type of tests.

In my opinion, just use the simple stats, for better overall stats.
And like Unforgven says, its only if you really need the best muons for the different test that you need the complext stats.

Thank you for all the help and the great statys, as well as all the effort you put forth this year for the Team
