[edit] Meant to say, welcome back to DPAD FMC 🙂(now crunching under chocobo Navy).

My own stats will be low for a little as I'm tweaking RAM & chipset timings & speeds, my RAM was at 745MHz (CAS 4), its currently at 933MHz (CAS 5) & has so far passed 16hrs 35mins of OCCT. Once it hits 24hrs I'll declare it safe & try for the next speed setting 😉, although I'm quickly approaching this RAMs upper voltage limit (2.1v), atm it's at 2.04v...... actually thinking about it I've just remembered this mbrd overvolts the RAM so I may already be over the limit! :Q.
Might end up leaving it there then, btw its OCZ plat rev2 DDR2 800 for anyone interested.
Even at that speed it's nearly a 200 MHz rise with the same CAS ns time 🙂.
Maybe I should buy some DDR2 1066 seeing as RAM is so cheap atm? 😀.

It'll be interesting to see how it effects DPAD, at slower RAM speed it was getting 1161 Kpt/s.

What are your timings on that OCZ Platinum? Is it that 2-2-2 stuff? Or am I a generation or two off? It's been a while 😱

About 3 generations off I think 😉, I think the last RAM that could do 2-2-2 was some PC133 (although you could underclock DDR 400 to 266 or maybe 333 & set it to 2-2-2 IIRC). Good DDR could do 2.5-2-2 (again IIRC).

At 745 MHz I'd set my RAM to 4-4-4 which is fairly tight for DDR2 although the MHz was a bit low seeing as it's supposed to be 800 MHz. Hence I've o/ced it to 933 MHz with 5-5-5 timings.
Due to my FSB speed & limited memory dividers I can have 745, 894, or 933 (higher options are there but I doubt my RAM can go higher), 894 @CAS5 ends up giving higher latency times than 745 @CAS4 so I skipped that 1.

Just checked my vDIMM with a DMM & I'm getting 2.09v on the 2.04v setting, also just checked out the specs of my RAM & I can go upto 2.2v so I still have some headroom left ...... hmm I wonder how much more I can get out of this RAM 😀.

Forgot to say, DPAD benchmark is now 1213 Kpts/s , that's 4.5% faster, I guess that's ok 😛, I'll have to see what the power draw is next.
Also the TRD has dropped from 11 to 10.
 
Quite a few I bet, there's a MarkP too who occasionally flushes in DPAD, funnily enough my 2nd name starts with P too 😉.
 
I need to change out thermal paste on my new cpu and do a remount - it gets too hot for my tastes at full load

sold off the E8600 in my sig and sent it down to South Africa for some LN2 overclocking action - DPAD to be back soon
