Thanx guys.

Is that a good start? I have 4 pc working on it. the slowest are saying over 500.0 k done while the two fastest are still under 200.0k. I imagine they got more dificult work, becuse they are better pc?
I have 2 that I will have to collect results from and manual send, will wait till end of week for that!

Crispy, if the results.txt file is larger than 100k, you have to manually send the results using manualsend.bat. I sometimes have the same prob that the first result file that reaches 100k is not send and after I do a manual send and the servers.csv is downloaded all results after that are send at 100k. If you've turned auto send off then ignore my babbling.. ;)

Oh and I think all pcs generate work with the same dificulty, the fast ones and the slow ones.

If they are doing the same amount then my 1.5 lappy is killing my 570j and my 3400+. I am seeing work done under result.dat which shows all work even if sent. My lappy is showing over 500k and my 1.2 duron is showing over 300k, the other two 570j and 3400+ have not broke 200k yet.

I have got dpad figured out for the most part, but my 2 fastest machines are doing the worst!

How long does it normaly take a single pc average speed to break the 25,000 milestone?

Crispy, don't be fooled by the file size. It's the points that matter. I've got a results file sitting here that has only 200k but contains over 50,000 points. It really depends on what experiments DPAD does. Also, if a PC hits a very good results, it reruns that particular experiment for several times. But it doesn't write the whole experiment into the results.txt, just the score of the repetitions.

At least for me, PhaseRotB gives more points than ChicaneLinacB than PhaseRotC than PhaseRotC_big.

So, my current file has lots of RotB runs in it, but only few RotC. File size is only a very rough indicator for points.

What I'd do is the following. Stop all clients and send away all results. Then let you PCs crunch for 3 days, all for the same ammount of time. Then use MRV to see the points in your files. Then you'll know pretty much how well you PCs are doing.

:)

I've been running it for some weeks now & I still don't get how to gauge the stats!

So for MRV then you've just got to see how many 'Total Mpts' you've got when the 'results size' hits 100KB?

So assuming that the points recieved varies massively (does it?) with different simulations then it would make racing rather haphazard? ,right?

Welcome crispy :)

Thanks for the stats Johan :)

Seems I had a reasonable day :),which isn't bad considering that my 2nd rig has been running Prime95 a lot for stability testing ;)
