I am going to put this on my pc, it runs at 100%. Will this give priority to other programs, or will I have to shut it off to say, run a game?

Great news crispy!

As long as you edit the priority in the config.txt file to [B} for background, the client will run at idle priority and it won't mess up your games.

Btw I don't think any of you came back with a output figure for some rigs?
(unless I forgot a couple?)

I thought my XPM @ 2.51GHz was doing 1k Mpts/hr ,but MC now tells me 2.4k Mpts/hr ,wth??
Anyone shed some light on that?

crispy, depends on how soon you return results. i had the same concern so i went into the dpad folder and theres a "manual send" results that i used. then it showed up the next day.

if you leave it be, it waits until you have around 100kb iirc of results to send. for me thats like 2-3 days.

I ran for 24 hours with four threads going on my dual Xeon 1.6@2.5 and got 33,000 mpts.

Once you've calculated some results, a 'results.txt' file will appear in your DPAD folder. If it's there, just stop the client, hit 'manual send' and your results will be send away. Then it depends how often DPAD gets the results from that specific FTP server you uploaded your results to. Give or take, within 24 hours you should show up on the stats.

Ok I have this set on my lappy, kids pc and my pc. Every pc runs at 100% except my pc which is p4 ht only 50%, I have it set to 2 threads, shouldnt it be running at 100%?

Yes it should be at 100% AFAIK.
Afraid I don't know what the problem is ,maybe you need to run 2 clients with a command line switch?

Muon Cockpit seems to give varying stats

I set one client to auto and it used 90-99% most of the time. Occasionally it would dip lower.

To check my dually output I set for manual send (all clients are set to manual send), let it run for 24 hours, checked my stats before sending and checked again later.

I'm adding another cruncher today (Barton 2800+) to go with the box I've got on DPAD already (X2 Toledo 4400+). This is a real easy project to set up and I'm glad TAS picked it for January.
