Just completed build using DP965LT and E6600 with 2GB Crucial DDR2-800 (2@1GB 1.8V).
Installed XP Pro SP2 and everything is flying.
I did flash BIOS to lastest version 0816 using floppy before installing XP Pro SP2.
Downloaded latest drivers from Intel - no problem.

I do have 2 questions.
BIOS shows memory as 2 @ 1024.
System control panel displays memory as 1.98GB.
What happened to the other .02GB?

Is there an Intel utility to display internal temperatures?

On your main bios screen, does it actually say you're running at 800MHz?

Mine will boot when it set it to 800MHz, but the main bios screen says 666MHz and benchmarks indicate the same.

My computer also says 1.98GB of ram, so I'm assuming it's normal.

The main BIOS screen indicates a system memory speed of 800MHz.
Memory from Crucial -
Part No. CT2KIT12864AA80E 2GB kit (1GBx2), 240-pin DIMM Upgrade for a
Intel DP965LT System

What is the best program to benchmark the memory speed?

Where did you get those crucial sticks - I can't find them on the Egg?

Found them at three places through Froogle, one of which is crucial tech - they are well over $300.00, but a less expensive alternative for this board (DP965LT, 6400/ 800 at 1.8V) is hard to find.

Directly from Crucial
www.crucial.com
Paid 376.63 with 2-day delivery.
Other than the CPU I cannot think of a more important component.
I did not want to have any problem with the CPu or memory so the expense was more than justified.
System has been running fine.
