In many cases, the packaged tracking code may run at all times, constantly sending user GPS coordinates and other information."
The information being collected includes Bluetooth LE Beacon Data, GPS Longitude and Latitude, Wi-Fi SSD and BSSID, and also such information as accelerometer data, battery charge performance and status, and even timestamps for departure/arrival to a location.

This reminded me about a similar issue in android where google continued to track users via surrounding wifi SSIDs even with the location function toggled off.

Google is kindof vague about how to deal with location settings and I think there seems to be 2 things to do on android to turn off location tracking - turn location history off and web+activity off.

I'm sure that even an outage will not help. All social networks, messengers, browsers, phones, different services collect geodata. I would also like to hide, but this isn't possible in my opinion.
