Avoid the new car, that's a horrible financial decision no matter how you look at it.

How much driving do you do and how often do you watch TV/movies? Hard to compare these straight up since the car will have monthly payments and the projector is a one time expenditure.

I'd rather have a car than an fancy TV. Although the TV is something that is nice, a car is a more practical thing, and a nice car you get to enjoy more often that you would sit down to watch a movie.

Actually, I really could care less about the HD compared to the car, but its statments like this that through me off. It will be a used car, and mine isn't doing too well (has the "shakes" and burns oil), so I really see no alternative

Acura is $13k

The projector would be used daily? You might want to consider a regular set, since I'm sure you'll be watching a lot of HD.

Anything wrong with your current car? Do you enjoy making monthly payments?

Honestly, My car isn't doing that well, but it just hasn't "died"
It is plagued by numerous problems and such, but it still works for the msot part.

BTW I make around $500/week right now

You should sell your current car and buy a cheaper car. Maybe something you don't have to finance much or not at all.

I'd get the car. That's just me. 1080p is just around the corner and that is 'true HD'. Save for that.

Btw, my boss just got a brand new RL with all the trimmings today. She was so excited I thought she was going to pee her pants.

13k for a 2002 3.2TL-S?

How many miles does the car have? It sounds really cheap.

I was going to ask a lot more than that for my wifes 02 3.2 CL.
