Downloading ZIP files to smartphone?

Motorola Q, Windows Mobile 5.

How do I get past the "This file cannot be viewed on the device" error? Even if I can't run the file on my smartphone, I want to be able to download it.

I don't want to buy DocumentsToGo or Resco File Explorer if I don't have to. I'd like to be able to:

1) Download any file extension I want w/out being nagged by the smartphone
2) Download and have the ability to UnZIP/UnRAR/etc. major file compression formats (bonus)

It would be even better if the freeware that does #2 had a .CAB file install that I could download and install directly to the Moto Q.

Dont know if the Q has/is going to get a update to wm6, but its built in in wm6. Total commander is free and does zip files

Went there and downloaded the CAB file for arm/xscale/pxa (I think that's the right one for a Moto Q) and got the following error message:

"Installation of rcmdwincearm.cab was unsuccessful. The installation file is not intended for this device."

Any ideas?

Sorry, thats the PPC version. You need the smartphone version.
