FilePlanet has a free trial and lets you download the full version. Then you can sign-up. I don't think you have to buy it.

There was an issue of Maxim a few months back that came w/ a WoW DVD disc w/ 10 day trial. You can upgrade to the full version after the 10 days. I forgot which issue it was. 2006 issue is all I can remember. I'm too lazy to dig in my Maxim stash.

PC Gamer had the same deal, but I can't remember what issue it was. WoW would be a pain to download if you didn't have a T3 line, though... That sucker is 2 Gigs.
