hey guys, heres my prob. when im downloading a file from the internet it stops about half way(if that). Its only on big files(not huge, under a gig) It wil DL at lighting speed then it just stops, no errors or anything . I dont have any nvidia firewalls or network manager crap. Please help this is my last hope

I always use Getright for files much more than 25MB. It allows resuming downloads that are interrupted for whatever reason, as well as some other nifty features.

Ordinarily, I'd say "yes," but I've just never really come to trust web browsers as good downloading programs. One thing goes wrong in the transfer for whatever reason, and they basically give up.
Someone else might come along eventually to offer some other advice though.

What is your Internet connection type? Are you connected through a router or anything of that sort?
