downloading music ... what do U guys use

had reformat after my wife used the computer ( long story ) ... lost a lot of music... still have half of it backed up .... so the question ...what legit site or program is the best

You figured it out then, I think you can pull it off now.

If I'm using money, itunes. If I have free d/l codes, what ever company is giving them away.
After I d/l the song, I play the it all the way through and record it with the wave editor that came with my Audigy. Save as an mp3 and now it's no longer protected.

So where did you get it in the first place? You can always download music at Kazaa or WinMX, that certainly is no secret, but whether it's legit even when you have the CD is uncertain right now.
