downloading a torrent, having trouble

im havign trouble downloading a particular torrent. its about 22gb in size. anyhow, once i start attempting to download it, it will shoot from 0-500KB. most of the bandwidth comes from one particular ip address. then after about a minute or so it will slow down and eventually transfer at speeds of about 0-1kb and will not go back up. the other this doesnt happen with other torrents except this one. the speeds from other ips also start going down. can someone know why this might be happening? i use utorrent if that helps.
