I'm looking for a downloadable repair manual for a 99 Jetta or even a site that has an online manual, does anyone know of a place? I've been google'n and haven't had much luck yet.

Thanks.

there is a company, not sure about name, that sells huge repair and maintainance manuals. Go for one of those if you are serious about fixin.

Free is good, but would be willing to pay for one also, even if there were a thing like a Haynes or Chilitons PDF or something like that.

Haynes and/or Chilton, I think one bought the other but I don't know which.

Edit: The OP clearly realizes this. I don't think you'll find a full maintenance manual for free online, but you can usually find information on forums relating to your car

Haynes manuals are ridiculously cheap though.

If you are looking for online manuals, you may want to try Alldatadiy.com. The site is supported by Autozone and is pretty good. At least for my '92 and '02 Nissan Pathfinder's, it gave me more detailed info than Chilton's. I know my friends dad who owns a auto service uses the commercial version.
