Download TV shows and movies?

So I'm not slick enough to have TiVo, but I'm looking for a site to download all the TV shows I miss. I used to go to Suprnova.org but it's too slow for me. Any suggestions? And I hesitate to ask, but you guys got any good movie-downloading sites?
 
join AT for one week, then ask for warez? tisk tisk.

Give the guy a break. He is obviously new here and may that be aware that downloading of such materials is neither condoned nor in any way facilitated by AT.

That being said, abspi8, you need to look elsewhere for the answers to these questions as these fall under the mantel of "warez'" and the unauthorized broadcasting of these copyrighted materials in illegal in the United States.

I suppose recording a show on a video cassette and loaning it to your friend is "illegal" too?
 
Is downloading a TV show, reaally warez? I dont know the answer to that, because as stated above, its a free program to watch. How is it different that recording it? Gray area to me.

That being said, I download TV shows all the time. Why? Becuase there are no comercials (one reason they wouldnt like it), and they are almost always in HDTV, which looks better watching it on your monitor, rather than a TV thats not HD.

Thats all Im going to say.. because I am not sure if its wrong, or not.

Yes TV Shows are illegal. I thought it would be ok also until 20th century fox busted me and got my connection terminated. Nothing a quick name change on the Cable bill wouldnt fix though.
 
bottom line is practically everything is owned and protected by someone so the only way to really be safe is to watch it on tv, pay for the movie or buy the program if you choose not to do these then be prepared to one day face the consequences.... my bittorren hasnt been runnin in quite sometime now... not worth it.
