I am "old school: in the fact that when I buy software I like to have the disk.
I am thinking about buying Acronis True Image Pro. The download price is $79 at Newegg. The pro version has a 3 pc license.

I think I know the answer but I have to ask..........
When downloading, do I save it to "downloads" then open the file and run it??
Once downloaded,,, can I or should I made a copy of the software?

Then I'll use the cd or dvd copy to install it on my other computers.

Your thoughts

That's what I do. Just save it to your browsers dl location. Once it's complete you can double click on it to begin the installation. I also copy and paste the file to a secondary location on my external drive called d:\downloads\software programs.

You shouldn't have to burn the program to a disk either. You should be able to copy and paste it onto a usb drive and install it on your other computers from the usb drive.
