Download Resumes, known issues?

This isn't a hardware Q, but pertains to the internet.

Are there any known issues/defects if you STOP,RESUME downloads repeatedly? For example, will this "degrade" a movie's quality if stopped and resumed a lot? If it was a zip/exe/etc will this more likely cause the files to become corrupt or such?

I would like to usually get a download in one try, but that's not always possible...just wondering if its doing any bad resuming and stopping repeatedly.

Thanks!

As far as I know, there isn't a problem.

If your download fails, and the movie becomes corrupt, just clean out your temporary internet files and go at it again. You can also use GetRight.

There should be no problem with resuming a file. Download Accelerator also works well when resuming files.

There's always a (extremely small) possibility of a file getting corrupted during a download. Stopping and resuming downloads increases this risk, but very little.

Programs like GetRight will let you roll back several KB so it greatly reduces the risk of a corrupted file.
