When you are searching for something on the internet, you gotta know where to look, and how to look for it. Otherwise, you get replies such as these you see here.
I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but no one ever helped me with this stuff, I did all this by trial and error. If you asked me to help you with something that don't involve piracy, I'd help you. But in this particular case, you are on your own. There is one simple truth. When someone wants something bad enough, he'll get it eventually. If you don't get something you want, you either didn't want it bad enough, or didn't want to go through what was required to get it. This is probably mostly true when it comes to finding stuff on the internet though.

There are pirate forums that deal with these things specifically, and you can get plenty of help and advice there. I don't see anything wrong with illegally downloading old SNES, SEGA, NES, GBA games, because many of there are NOT available for sale anymore, and the only way to get em is through so called "illegal downloads". Game companies are hurting themselves by not selling these. They can keep making profit on these old titles, but instead, they leave the distribution to the pirates, or release lazy ports which are but a shadow of the original's former glory.
And what's with your problem with "shady" sites? There is absolutely nothing wrong with those.. So you'll get hit with some porn links... or a trojan... or even a virus! *gasp*
But you'll learn in the process! you'll learn which sites get you to what you want and which are just there to scam you.. You'll learn how to remove viruses, and in a particularly bad case, you'll learn how to format your hard drive and recover/fix/troubleshoot your system.
