Download Ad-aware 5.71.. you might be surprised

I had the previous version installed with the latest reference file (prior to version 5.71) and it didn't find any spyware. I installed this new version and within the registry alone it found 20 references to spyware! Geez... it found 37 at the end of the scan. So I recommend you guys download this new version. That is if you hate spyware

WTF? I was running 5.62 before and I scaned it and found one spyware component. i then uninstalled 5.62 and went straight ahead and tried 5.71 and it found 57 spyware components

Wow holy crap! I just ran the previous version of ad-aware less than 12 hours ago and removed all the spyware crap. I download 5.71, run a scan, and it finds 36 new spyware components! Thanks for the headsup

Same here. My version of Morpheus is really old too...I never downloaded the new one after they changed over to the new P2P and I don't use Kazaa.

actually all you need to do is update the reference file (which I did with refupdate) and i has found 108 keys.. I am using 5.62, unless 5.71 has something new other than the ref file I am not updating.

Incorrect. I have the most recent reference file. I checked before running my scan with 5.62. It didnt find those 46 items. 5.71 did

hmm... i deleted all but two of the 35 files (the cydoor ones, so kazaa would run)

then i ran kazaa, then ad-aware again... and suddenly there were now 7 components! sneaky...

I noticed the same thing. What's up with that? I'm kinda scared to download it now...
