Downgrading from Vista to XP

Does Microsoft allow users to downgrade from Vista Business to XP Profession without having to buy an XP Pro license? Someone I know brought a Dell computer that was originally bought for home use to the office and upgraded from Vista Home to Vista Business. Vista has problems with some of their software so they'd like to be able to install XP Pro.

Yep, Dell should be able to help with the downgrade. Their license to Vista will still be valid (e.g. they can re-upgrade later), they just can't use the XP and Vista licenses at the same time on two boxes.
