What's forcing you to downgrade?

Well, I'd take a look inside the manual and look at your specs, then go to the manufacturer's websites (not emachines)

people are scared of change?
After six years of using XP, I switched to Vista on my desktop a couple of weeks ago. Generally, I can't tell the difference. When I do "tech" things, which most folks don't get involved in, I've found several changes in Control Panel and other control locations that's taken a bit of getting used to. UAC doesn't bother me a bit.Originally posted by: ByacoXX
I guess i ilike XP better then Vista, it just feels better.

I think a better term would be "switch" instead of "downgrade."

how about upgrade? heheh
Go to Windows Update in your browser, select 'custom' updates instead of 'express', then wait for the result. Under 'hardware, optional', you should be offered fairly recent drivers for pretty much everything there.Originally posted by: ByacoXX
The drivers that are missing are:
Audio Device
Video Controller
SM Bus Controller
PCI Bridge
PCI Simple Communications Controller
Of course, a suitable nic driver must be installed locally first.Originally posted by: tcsenter
