Is it me or have the deals each year be worse and worse? I remember a couple years ago i was pumped to get up at 4AM to get savings but now there isn't really anything quite as flashy anymore. Comments?
 
agreed. last time I went out was for the Visiontek GF3 TI200. Don't plan on going out tomorrow either.

btw, I was first in line that year at my Best Buy, got there at 2:15a

ATOT people, for the most part, are tolerable. Besides, I don't hear 500 ATOT's screaming at the top of their lungs nor do I have to fight my way in/out of a thread...

 
There are a few exceptions such as

Walmart $199 PC with 17" flat CRT and Windows XP for $199
Best Buy Toshiba laptop for $499 out the door
 
Neither of those deals are worth waiting in line for a good 6+ hours though.

There are a few smaller deals at the less-hit stores. Like Simpsons Season 4, South Park Season 1, Family Guy Season 1-2 are all $17.77 @ Target. That's a good $10 off most of the movies.
 
sad, the only thing that interests me this year is the possible hot deal of 50% off fuji media at bestbuy. and only if the instore prices are the same as bestbuy.com.
 
iPods are ALWAYS either $300 or $400 for their respctove models, idk if Apple has some kind of marketing contract but thats the way its gonna be. Forver. So live with it, and get the money na just buy one.

same here.... a little upset there arent any deals on them but i understand that they are still in high demand and are still "new" electronics since they keep updating them.... bastards at apple being smart and all
 
Seems to me the deals have slowly gone down while the hooplah has gone up. That means more trouble for less stuff. It makes me sad but then I guess it can't be helped to go because its traditino for me and my friends to spend the sleepless night acting like idiots out in the cold.
 
this was the first year I would have ever had enough free time/energy to do it and I don't see anything I want... I could never be bothered at 6am anyway
 
The deals do seem to not be as good this year as they were even last year. I'm still going to Office Max, though. Between the DVD+/-R drive for $40 and the 50-packs of discs for $8 or something, it's worth it to someone that's wanting a DVD burner. There are some odds and ends that are FAR that I'm going to try and snag as well. I was hoping that there would be enough items at Best Buy or Wal-mart or other places to draw the crowds from Omax but I'm not so sure that's going to be the case.
