DOWN! Bad Abit :)

hello, I am a hobbiest computer builder and about a month ago I upgraded from a EpOx with a AMD K6-III to a "new" Abit Kt7-A with a AMD Thunder 1.33 Ghz processor. After getting the system back up agian and getting Win2k installed on it I noticed that I was having trouble with the computer completely freezing. The only thing I could do was kill it and reboot where it would promptly do the same thing. I have tried many different installs of Win2k and many different methods of installing but everything I try leads me right back to the same problem

I have finnally narrowed down the problem to either my (powercolor) GeForce2 Pro card or my motherboard. everything I have removed so that I can figure out that those werent the problem. Has anyone experenced this problem? has anyone been able to fix it? Or do I just have a bad piece of hardware in the mix? Thanks for the help.

Change the board, abit is the RMA king (highest rate of returned boards) and i dont want to start a flame war

And do what speed tester said

Not sure if this will help.
Check your P/s. Althon eats watts like carzy compare to your K6-2/3 CPU.
Make sure you have high quility HSF. This cpu is hotter than any thing ever exit.
Load Motherboard drive first.
Make sure you have the most recent VIA 4 in 1 driver.
without this drive, I can't get my Geforce work in VP6 mobo (also come from Via)
can you provide a little more detial when the computer gets freez up. e.g. h/w detection, loading driver, or loading w2k itself.
