Question Down a rabbit hole a little CPU/GPU

I wasn't up to speed when Black Friday sales were on but bought an xmas gift for someone.
I put the prices in for some perspective, they are in CDN

AMD 5600 ($170)
,RX 6750 XT ($400)
,ROG 550 XE ($200)

I did the bump for the MB mainly for the sound option and some quality; gave up on the mAtx. An Asus Prime B550M was $50 cheaper.

I understand the CPU to be a bit underpowered for the GPU but I don't really know how much of a factor this is.

I could still get a 5600x but then I start down the OC rabbit hole of getting a cooler and running hot.

My question. Is the GPU in this setup going to outperform a 6650 XT or is the CPU really that much of a bottleneck and maybe I should drop another $80 to bump to a 5600x and a cooler?

another option I was thinking....if they really want to bump up the CPU they could simply wait and get one used later and sell the one they have......a bit of a hassle but it would be a learning experience.

thanks.

What resolution is the monitor? I don't think your components are mismatched. The 5600X isn't that much better than the 5600. You are only losing a few FPS.

Thanks....from that I think I have a clearer picture.
the 5600x can be overclocked and that had me thinking it would fix the bottle neck but apparently not.
