I just bought Dogs of War 2 on the Steam sale.

I played the campaign last night for 3 hours. It is a lot of fun. However, there were only 3 custom games in the lobby.

Are people playing the competive games? It is a great game. The downloadable demo was unimpressive. But the 19.99 sale was a pretty tempting as currently I am not playing any RTS games.

Is anyone playing competively or making custom games or content? I would like to play it multiplayer as it seems like a game that is easy to play, but hard to become a good player.

----also any news on when Heroes of Newerth will be done?
 
I haven't heard of the game the OP is talking about, but it sounds close enough to Dawn of War 2, so this is now a Dawn of War 2 thread.

Yes I play Dawn of War 2, but only ranked matches, I never have any trouble finding a game. Lots of fun. Never tried a custom game.

Wow, $20, that would explain all the DAMN NOOBS I was paired with recently, especially the day that the new patch was launched.

Dawn of War 2. Just read my PCGamer. Looks like an expansion might be coming out.

But you mostly play ranked matches? Are there 3vs3 or 4vs4? I am mostly a social gamer. RL is too competitive and no one will pay me to go back to college and goof off 🙂
Back then we had game clubs which met saturday. Used to drool come Saturday afternoon. Then free beer with a small cover charge at night!

But, I have been playing a few custom games. They are fun. But are the ranked games all 1vs1?

Is Heroes of Newerth going to be as good as DOW2? It looks good, but I was very impressed with both the Online and Campaign of DOW2. But games are a little short usually, but very intense.

Ill take out my Dogs of War miniatures and try and upload them, but I think they are stored away and dogs of war are Warhammer Fantasy mercenary units....doh.
