Dow Corning thermal grease

Rubycon

Madame President
The 980X comes with a twist - a four pipe heatsink and a syringe of Dow Corning thermal grease.

Anyone use this?

Instructions are to use the entire amount in one serving! Seems excessive but what do I know?

Personally, I have quite a few test samples of their TIM materials and I like a good bit of them. I am not sure what is supplied, but from the "care package" I was sent, there was only a couple out of maybe 20-30 I wasn't impressed with.

This is what's on the bag:

NET 0.5G LOT: 0005821451 EXP. DATE: 31-OCT-2011
DOW CORNING TC-1996 COMPOUND INTEL P-N D54816-001

Let me dig out my stash and info packet and see if that is in what I have. Though, from what I remember, DC tends to go with the "more is better" attitude with the theory that high pressure and temp will "squeeze out" the excess.
