Doug Lombardi - TF2 is not dead at all. After we announced TF2 on the HL1 tech, we made the decision to move it to the Source Engine. It is still in development and we will be announcing more on that title after HL2 ships.

Sounds pretty enticing.

I've been waiting how long for that....*counting*.... is it 6 years now since it was announced, or more...?
obligatory joke....
I think it's going to be bundled with Duke nukem forever.

My problem is it sounded like they were moving from the arcade style of QWTF and TFC to a more military-strategy-ww2-type game. That sounded innovative when the game was first announced, but now the market is saturated with that stuff.

Edit: By the way, why did you post this in the Video forum? 😉

They are going to put it on the Source Engine? What?... I'd to impressed with physics, graphics, gameplay and sound... I don't want physics without interia and a skechthy hitboxes....

I'm interested when/if it shows up, but until it does, I've stopped caring.

Kind of like DNF - if it's released at some point, yay, if not, there's plenty of other stuff to keep me occupied.

its cool to hear news

tf was the first mod i played for hl. first clan experiences and stuff.

would be nice to play it again. Wonder wtf is the big hold up there aint nothing special about team fortress.

the freggen gameplay is there, skin some models and do some maps and ship it already people will get suckered in just like cs source.
