I'd love to see a Nissan GTR around a real track vs ANY Mustang. It would get pwnt...hard.

You have a low brow attitude in regards to car "performance." 0-60 is not "performance" in my opinion. Acceleration, braking, turning, handling, and overall dependability is what is considered "performance."

And any car I mentioned would get way more women than your car or any of the cars you mentioned.

I don't game. And I've overclocked mine to 4.9Ghz on air. Nice try though.

Alas, in the real world, neither of us have a Ferrari or GTR; instead I have a highly tuned Cobra and you have... a Scion. Ill take a car I can afford that still out performs 99% of cars on the road VS driving an appliance while dreaming about cars I can't afford.

And you can recite lap times and skid pad numbers all you want, if you're driving a car on the street and not at the track, especially someone like you just trying to show off your money, ALL racing you will encounter on the street is going to be drag racing (trying to beat other drivers at lights, merges, etc)

My tastes in cars has nothing to do with status or bragging. It's about having something unique and true performance, not just an exdeath-ish "let's havaavee a drag race and see who win!!!!!!!ssss yeahhh hawwwww!!!"

Ferrari's have a history and a visual beauty to them. A Miata does not. Nissan GTR has technology and performance. A Miata does not. A Mercedes have power, technology, and history all in one.

Post pics of your Ferrari!

Jmapleton never been on a track let alone can post any real life experience in anything other than his Scion..
what he doesn't know about cars would fill the Astrodome..

BTW a tuned and modded Cobra will SMOKE your precious little GTR around a track not just in straight line..

hell My club mates Twin Turbo G35 Coupe would and does pwn most exotics including Ferraris and Lambo's and other super exotics on the track for less than 1/8 of the cost even counting the heavy mods he has in the engine and suspension.

Car snobs are morons..
I loved embarrassing 200+k Super cars in my old 03 Cobra with a Whipple and a tune.. 635hp and guess what... it could turn too =P..

Look at any ranking of "top drivers' cars" or "best sports cars" or simply "best cars" and you'll find a Miata in the top 10 or damn close to it, right up there with Ferraris, BMWs, and Benzs that cost 100 times as much.

This argument needs to go on no further. We buy cars for their driving appeal and/or mod them to do so. He wants a car for the badge and so he can get girls.

Its funny, one of the docs I shadow here has a patent on some surgical tool that he gets royalties on everytime its used, the guy has more money than he knows what to do with. He owns his own personal G5, and a fleet of classic Ferraris.

You know what his personal daily driver is?

2011 GT500 that he just got, and before that, a G8 GXP

He actually said, its more fun to drive than some of the Ferraris, and faster as well.

nothing wrong with them. your LS has projectors right? no problem with HIDs (unless they're pink/purple/green/etc...) interior LEDs is just fine, again, as long as they're not pink/purple/etc.... the rotors are probably overkill on your LS though, but they're not ugly or really tacky. I love seeing all the dudebros here with huge rims on their trucks/suv/car and the tiny little rotors or even drums. LOL
I wish :( They're factory HIDs, but reflector types.
You'd be surprised at the rotors though - I got the rotors, Stoptech SS lines and ceramic pads for ~$400 (was a group buy thing going on at LVC).

It came from the factory with reflector HIDs? I'm not sure I've ever seen that on any car..

As for mods, gotta agree with the standard stuff people have said (fart can, etc)

Pardon the minor thread derail but this is the factory HID housing for the LS :

Reflector type, plus it takes D2R rather than D2S bulbs.
