Doubled up contact entries with iPhone and Google Voice Mobile Site

Anyone using the Google Voice mobile site with their iPhone? I sync my address book to my Google contacts and it works fine. If I am at my computer and check gmail or Google Voice my contacts look fine.

But if I use Google Voice on my iPhone, with their special web page to get around their app rejection by Apple, every contact shows twice in the contact list.

I was thinking maybe the voice site is trying to show the contacts in the iPhone's address book as well as any in my Google contacts which, since they're in sync, results in the doubling. Although that doesn't make sense to me, you would think Google would assume at least the possibility of people syncing their contacts.

Ideas?

Thanks for responding and I apologize for not dealing with my own thread.

Using Address Book in 10.6, I have selected to sync my contacts with my Google account. However, when using the Google app on my iPhone to check Gmail, it doesn't have the same doubling contact problem.
