barry bonds is the FVCKING man.

what about the 600 hr 500 steals that he will probably get by the end of this season. doesn he need to prove anything at this point?

other than trying to chase down hank aaron what else could he possibly want to accomplish (well individually that is).

Pfft. Forget about 600/500 club. If he gets 324 HRs he'll be the only guy in the 800/500 club. Actually all those HRs will hurt his SB stats, he won't have a chance to steal because he'll never be on base in the first place.

individually, he still has to prove that he's a clutch player in the playoffs and can win a world series. So far, he's choked in every playoff series.

Right on PlatinumGold. This could seriously be The Year of the Giants, even their pitchers are doing some awesome hitting.

Hmm... question for ya guys -

Would you rather be Barry Bonds, one of the greatest players ever in baseball to not win a World Series, or would you rather be a bench warmer on the New York Yankees and have numerous World Series rings?

Personally, I'd go with Bonds.

Winning a world series is not an individual accomplishment, or anything ANYONE can prove individually.

25 guys on a team, no 1 player can take all the blame or all the credit. (No, not even Buckner)

IMO San Francisco has never been a legit World Series threat as long as Bonds has been on the team.
