Given the same module size, what are the advantage(s) and disadvantage(s) of double-sided vs. single-sided SDRAM PC100 168 pin memory modules? Thanks in advance.
well, the chips might have a higher capacity, but the overall capacity is still the same. There are no realy advantages to haveing a double sided then a single sided or vice/versa
one could think that, theoretically, the chips with higher density would get slightly hotter than the "old" ones.......but nah, it won't matter in real life
Is there? Each side gets it's own memory line. RAS was it? If you have 128MB on a double sided DIMM, with 64MB on each line, would that be accessed faster rather than having to look up the whole 128MB?
Correct me if I'm worng.....I don't understand RAM accesses to well...
