Double entries in Device Manager

I installed my new 9800 Pro today, installing the drivers first, then the control panel. I went to Device Manager to see if everything went ok, and noticed 2 entries for the 9800:

Radeon 9800 Pro
Radeon 9800 Pro - Secondary

This is the first ATI card that I've owned, but having 2 video card entries for the 9800 doesn't sound right to me. Can I just delete the Secondary entry from Device Manager?

*cough*...

the second one represents the DVI connection on the 9800 i believe. vian wtf are u talking about... what PCI... 😕

So much belief ... I feel like I'm in church.

All recent Radeon chips represent themselves as two device instances - one per head.

Idk, something like that happened when I was uninstalled, but I might have misread.

Peter sounds like he's got it.
