DOUBLE doubleclick w/ intellimouse explorer 3.0

ive noticed this problem with every single driver version ive tried. i have my middle scrolling button set as double click... thing is, it sometimes double clicks TWICE so if im navigating through my computer, it will go into one folder, and double click into ANOTHER folder. or if two windows are open and maximized, and i double click the top left, it will close two windows. which is really annoying. has this happened to anyone else? anything that might be causing it? i have the newest intellimouse explorer 3.0 drivers installed...

I have this mouse but I hate using the software that comes with any mice.I can't tell you if the problem occurs with mine.Sorry I couldn't be more help.
