Double click problems in wondows XP Home

I go into folder options on my screen (an andmin account, but not THE admin account) and change my preference from single click to double, because that's my preference. For some reason, it doesn't happen. It is as if nothing has changed. However, it works om my guest screen just fine and dandy. Anyone know of this problem and a solution? Thanks if you do.

Mandatory user profile?

GPO settings?

(If you're using Fast User Switching, neither of these likely apply.)

Anything in the system or application event logs?

I don't know what a mandatory user profile or GPO are, but I can do switch user if that is what you mean by fast user switching. How do i check the system or application event logs? Are they text files that I can access somewhere?

EDIT: Never mind, I fixed it. i just hit restore default in folder options and did apply and now it works. Strange, huh?
